We were at this street fest last year and, while we had a blast, it was mostly because we were outside Lempika drinking in the street. It had good energy and the barrio was out, but it didn’t quite llegar, didn’t quite live up to its slogan “Festival de moda y expresión artística”. It’s a year older now, and a year stronger (we hope). We expect the same buen rollo, of course, and are impressed with the varied and interesting collection of local designers. Nos gustan Cactus Camiseta’s Huevo Duro and Pez Gordo, Anna Fortuny makes some sexy stuff for chicas urbanas, Sixyu Atelian will take care of your dark side (and your need for cute reversible dresses), and there will be about 25 others too. The festival will take up calles Carretas and Vistalegre in the heart of Raval and, if it’s anything like last year, it will also feature live music, DJs and some special street areas for local bars/restaurants.
