Labeled as ‘irreverentes y cachondos por naturaleza’, Colectivo Oruga continues to live up to their fama as they compete against the likes of The Chemical Brothers and The Rapture with their first album Too Many Knobs. Taking their boys-don’t-cry voices and mixing them with harmonies manufactured by synthesizers, guitars, and electronic bases, this Galician trio preserves enough of their melancholic terrestrial roots to make their sound up beat with just the right shade of Donnie Darko. After perfecting their set with Alan Douches of West West Side Studios in New York, one can safely say that they’ve engineered an electric rock that’s worthy to dance to and full of references that LCD Soundsystem never even touched. New blood, new manías, new fingers turning knobs.
